Life's Run

Journey of a mother, wife, runner..

My name is Regina and I will be 40 in December. I just celebrated 2 years of sobriety July 5th. After I quit drinking I realized I had gained 40lbs. and was completely out of shape. I decided to work harder on my nutrition and start the Couch to 5k program. The weight started to drop off and before I knew it, I was running and training for my first half marathon. I finished my first half before my predicted time and thought “if I could do this, imagine what else I can do”! Hince, I continued to run and here I am today. I am now shooting to run my first full marathon in February 2013. I hope to use this blog to not only keep myself accountable but also as a motivator to reach all my goals. If I motivate or pass along useful information to just one person, that will make all the hard work worth it!

Please note that all opinions posted are my own and I am not a professional. However I do include links to articles and/or products that can be reviewed. It is recommended that you seek the advice of a professional before preforming any exercise  or changing your nutrition habits.

  1. Hello Regina,
Just a quick message to ask if you would be interested in a ‘mutual’ following on twitter. I am currently following you now and am awaiting for your follow-back. (#FYI I do RT’s ‘anytime’ for all #Triathletes #Cyclists #UltraRunners & #Marathoners #FitnessProfessionals who follow me on Twitter and have something ‘important’ they want mentioned…)

All the very best for the rest of 2012 and beyond Regina. Look forward to hearing from you…
